Lew Hardy
Lew has climbed for almost 50 years and been a guide for over 25 years. He is also a professor of psychology at Bangor University specialising in all aspects performance psychology. Lew works part-time doing research in the School of Sport, Health and Exercise Sciences at Bangor, part-time doing consultancy work in high level sport, military, and business organisations, and part-time guiding. He has made first ascents in Britain, the alps, and the Himalaya. He enjoys all sorts of guiding and instructing, but especially likes to combine his knowledge of climbing and skiing with his knowledge of psychology to help people improve their performance. Helping people to improve their off-piste skiing is a bit of a forte of his. However, due to his chronological giftedness, Lew is no longer the fastest guide on the block and is probably not he best choice for young fit "hots" who like carrying enormous sacks and going very fast!
